On the evening of Friday, October 24, 2014, Breguet sponsored an event at world-renown music institution, Carnegie Hall, featuring The New York Pops performing songs from The Beatles. The concert, appropriately titled “All You Need is Love”, was a tribute to the iconic band’s 50th Anniversary arrival to the U.S. and the birth of Beatlemania. A select group of VIPs were invited by the brand to pre-concert cocktails and a sit-down dinner at Carnegie Hall’s private club rooms surrounded by a gallery of Breguet’s most exquisite timepieces. Congratulations to Torsti Laine, student of "Kelloseppäkoulu – The Finnish School of Watchmaking" to win this year’s "F. A. Lange Watchmaking Excellence Award". With his design of a moon-phase display that also emulates the earth phases from the moon’s perspective, he impressed the expert jury and was awarded the 10,000 euros prize. For the fifth year running, the competition highlights the importance of sustainable funding of watchmaker trainings for the future of fine-watchmaking.

About 140 guests from 26 countries came to Dresden to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Lange’s first new-era collection. On occasion of this special jubilee, the new timepiece LANGE 1 TOURBILLON HANDWERKSKUNST was presented at Dresden Royal Palace – the place, where the first four timepieces after the comeback of the brand had been launched 20 years ago. We also took the opportunity to donate 20,000 euros to the public charity organisation Sonnenstrahl e.V.
