Congratulations to Torsti Laine, student of "Kelloseppäkoulu – The Finnish School of Watchmaking" to win this year’s "F. A. Lange Watchmaking Excellence Award". With his design of a moon-phase display that also emulates the earth phases from the moon’s perspective, he impressed the expert jury and was awarded the 10,000 euros prize. For the fifth year running, the competition highlights the importance of sustainable funding of watchmaker trainings for the future of fine-watchmaking.
