On the evening of Friday, October 24, 2014, Breguet sponsored an event at world-renown music institution, Carnegie Hall, featuring The New York Pops performing songs from The Beatles. The concert, appropriately titled “All You Need is Love”, was a tribute to the iconic band’s 50th Anniversary arrival to the U.S. and the birth of Beatlemania. Congratulations to Torsti Laine, student of "Kelloseppäkoulu – The Finnish School of Watchmaking" to win this year’s "F. A. Lange Watchmaking Excellence Award". With his design of a moon-phase display that also emulates the earth phases from the moon’s perspective, he impressed the expert jury and was awarded the 10,000 euros prize. For the fifth year running, the competition highlights the importance of sustainable funding of watchmaker trainings for the future of fine-watchmaking.
