Though he is too modest to ever say it himself, if it wasn’t for Walter Lange’s pioneering work and courage in 1990, our brand would likely not exist today. Despite his family’s expropriation and the need to flee from Glashütte in 1948, Walter Lange returned to his hometown when he was already in his sixties to reestablish A. Lange & Söhne on December 07, 1990 – to the day 145 years after his great-grandfather Ferdinand A. Lange had laid the foundation of fine watchmaking in Saxony by setting up his watch manufacture.

Today, Walter Lange celebrates his 90th birthday and he is as committed as ever to his life’s work: http://ift.tt/1lQxhGe
