Breguet marked its presence at the bicentenary of the Battle of Waterloo as a major private sponsor of the conservation of Hougoumont Farm. One of the last authentic testimonies to the battle, Hougoumont seeks to work toward peace and stability in Europe.

The inauguration of this important piece of history following restoration work and repurposing as a museum, took place on 17 June 2015, in the presence of Marc A. Hayek, President & CEO of Breguet, members of European royalty, leading politicians and the international press. It ended with a symbolic handshake between the Duke of Wellington, Prince Blücher von Wahlstatt and Prince Charles Bonaparte.

In a series of lectures, entitled Breguet in the Heart of Europe, Baron Bernard Snoy – President of the Waterloo Committee in Belgium – examined the extraordinary links between Breguet and the leaders of the troops, as well as the ambassadors of the great European powers who gathered at the Congress of Vienna (1814-1815).

Unveiled in Geneva at the beginning of the year, “La Tradition Breguet, at the Heart of an Icon,” left the old continent to reach Hong Kong from June 9 to 14, 2015.

Through this exhibit, Breguet recounts the inspirations of an extraordinary collection of which the first timepieces caused a sensation when first presented ten years ago. Offering for the first time the possibility of admiring the inner-workings of the mechanism, the watch provides an unobstructed view of the barrel, bridges, the balance and the intermediate wheels on the dial side.

Breguet chose the Fringe Club, notably dedicated to art, in order to present its selection of antique and contemporary pieces. Nearly 300 guests joined the inauguration evening of this first Asian stop of the tour, celebrated with a cocktail reception and a dinner.

On Friday 6th of June 2015, Breguet inaugurated its newly relocated boutique in the Beijing Parklife Center. It is replacing the former Breguet showcase established in the famous building. This new 40 square meters store has been designed in an original motif. The traditional glass façade, one of the attributes of the new Breguet boutiques, has been entirely curved. Inside, clients are warmly welcomed by a showcase wall mirroring the outward design of the store and harmoniously presenting the large selection of Breguet timepieces.
