This year, the Plumes collection is enriched by a new watch called Rêve de Plume. This timepiece in rose or white gold features the sculpture of a feather that starts at the spherical gem-set attachment at 6 o'clock and goes on to follow the left side of the bezel. Breguet’s craftsmen and women resorted to diamonds of different sizes to represent every part of the feather. This outstanding piece once again demonstrates the attention to detail that characterises all of Breguet’s creations. Diamonds weighing more than 4 cts adorn this watch fitted with the self-winding calibre 586, a movement with a silicon balance-spring.

The Vacheron Constantin Savoirs Enluminés are 3 new watches in the venerable Maison's Metiers d'Art or artistic crafts collection.These watches have struck quite some controversy but for me they are pure genious, rarely had I been this excited for a metiers d'Art piece since the Masks collection from...2008 and are for me a potent mix of art, horology and modernism!The dials of the Savoirs Enluminés are inspired by the mythical beasts found in the Aberdeen Bestiary book of the 12th century and are in fact hand enameled, even the golden background given to look like gold leaf!The dials are on 2 levels with on the left on a hjiher position the "beast" and on the right on a lower position texts taken from the book. Time is told via rorating saphire discs.

Congratulations to David Sydorick who received the jury's "Best of Show" prize at this year's Concorso d'Eleganza for his Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 built in 1932. Lange CEO Wilhelm Schmid handed over to him the special model LANGE 1 TIME ZONE “Como Edition”, crafted exclusively for this event.
