Our new manufactory building starts to take shape: The exterior works for the new manufactory are almost completed. Inside, new space for the component production and modern workplaces for watchmakers are being created on a floor area of 5,400 square meters.
Comfortable indoor climate during all seasons will be ensured by the largest geothermal energy plant in Saxony. A total of 55 geothermal boreholes, each 125 metres deep and 164 millimetres in diameter were needed for the new building. In comparison, a single borehole would be enough for an average detached family house. This technology allows us to make a sustainable contribution to climate protection.
The first timepieces will be produced here in just one year’s time.
