To the delight of fine watch enthusiasts, Breguet’s 2014 novelties start their world tour with a first stop in the brand’s boutique at Avenuel Lotte Department Store in Seoul, Korea. The Classique Tourbillon extra-plat automatique, the Reine de Naples Princesse or the watch Les Volants de la Reine are on view among the other exceptional pieces of the current collection until May 22, 2014. After this stop, two other Korean boutiques welcome the new creations of the Manufacture. They will be presented in Breguet’s showcases at Hyundai Department Store from May 23 to June 12 and at the Galleria Luxury Hall East from June 13 to 29, 2014. The 1815 RATTRAPANTE PERPETUAL CALENDAR unites the technical fascination of a split-seconds chronograph with the enduring precision of a perpetual calendar. The Ptolemaic geocentric system is visible in the background. It postulated that the earth was the immutable centre of the universe until the theory was superseded by the Copernican revolution in the 16th century.

The DATOGRAPH PERPETUAL is an ingenious combination of a flyback chronograph and a perpetual calendar. Against the backdrop of the Ptolemaic system as portrayed by Andreas Cellarius, it unites horological complications that keep track of the moment and of perpetuity.
